The Greatest Blog Post of All Time

Kia Ora people, this week in maths I have learned how to calculate the area of circles and composite shapes. It took a bit to understand but now I have the hang of it. For literacy, we have been focusing on the themes from the Wizard of Oz book and learning the importance of them and how those themes are displayed in the book. The slide that is on this post is one of our Friday tasks, it is a list of some of the rare sightings of wild animals in cities ever since this lockdown has started around the world. :)

  1. Hey Kobe, awesome work. It's great to hear that you stuck at your maths work and now have the hang of calculating the area of circles and composite shapes, well done! Have you enjoyed reading the Wizard of Oz? I've never read the book, but love the movie! Awesome slide! I love seeing all of these things happening during such a strange time. It's crazy what happens when you remove humans from the situation. Happy Friday! Caitlin :)

  2. Thanks for the update Kobe! It's good to hear that the composite shapes were a challenge but that you feel comfortable with it now! I enjoyed browsing through the different animals found wandering the streets. I'm amazed we haven't run in to more stories of wandering and mismanaged sheep here in NZ! What have you been thinkin of the Wizard of Oz? Is it pretty easy to spot the themes in the book?
